Who we are
PaperTax (papertax.xyz) is run by an Australian sole trader (ABN 70 610 323 411). In these terms "we" means PaperTax and "you" means the person using it. Contact: nick@astrnt.me.
What PaperTax does, and doesn't do
PaperTax reads public on-chain data for a wallet address you give it and organises it into records and import files for tax software. It applies default classifications so that you and your tax adviser have a starting point.
PaperTax is not tax, legal or financial advice, and we are not a registered tax agent or adviser. We don't tell you how your circumstances should be treated, and we don't lodge anything for you. Some items (such as funding payments, tokens minted on a loss and queued profits) have no settled treatment and are flagged for review. Check everything with a registered tax agent or the relevant tax authority before you rely on it.
Data accuracy
We read data from Hyperliquid's public API and other public sources. Those sources have limits: for example, Hyperliquid only serves a wallet's 10,000 most recent fills, so very active wallets may be missing older trades. We tell you when we can detect this, but we can't guarantee that the data is complete or correct. You are responsible for checking your records.
Accounts
You can buy a single report without an account. If you create one, keep access to your email address secure, because it is how you sign in. API keys are like passwords; don't share them. You're responsible for activity under your account and keys.
Payments
- Tax reports are a one-off payment per wallet and tax year, priced by the number of ledger events when you buy. If the wallet later has more events than your tier covers, you can upgrade by paying the difference.
- Trader and Accountant plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Billing on your account page; the plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Prices are in US dollars and processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.
Refunds
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a report is materially wrong because of an error on our side and we can't fix it promptly, we'll refund it. If you bought the wrong wallet or tier by mistake and haven't exported anything, email us within 14 days and we'll refund or switch it. Subscription periods already started are otherwise not refunded, but cancelling stops future charges.
Fair use
Don't use PaperTax to break the law, overload or probe our systems, resell bulk exports, or get around plan limits or payment. We may limit or suspend access that does.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect losses or for tax, interest or penalties that result from how you used the records. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

PaperTax is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hyperliquid, trade.xyz, Paragon, Papertrade, Koinly or Crypto Tax Calculator.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown on this page with a new date; continuing to use PaperTax after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
